Breath it in! Fall is here and although we all may not be ready for what is next there is no reason why we can't appreciate the now.
I went for a mountain bike ride the other day and remembered how much I loved to ride in the fall. The dirt is wet and grippy, the trees and plants are changing color as the earth shifts & nights become longer, and the smell is simply amazing. We love winter to play but this is our last chance to enjoy the base upon which the snow falls... sight, sound, and smell.
New trails are the best but why not slow down and enjoy the colors with these oldies but goodies? You never know where you may want to explore next while we still can this year!
Bike Rides: Rogers Pass: This one is challenging but still is worth the effort! Steep climb but offers a journey of fun and beautiful scenery of Williams Fork, The Continental Divide, Winter Park Valley below, and the the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. Not to mention spurts of color as you pass foliage that is bursting in Fall's favorite colors.
Tipperary Trail: Imagine it in the fall if you haven't had the chance to enjoy it yet. It is steady and true as a climb and takes you past some amazing meadows, aspen groves, and lodge pole pine that are lush with all the moisture from this summer. Done it a million times on a bike? Grab some company that likes to hike and take it slow while building some muscles for this years up and coming ski season.
Hiking: James Peak Protection Area: Ahhhhhh...... want to truly dive into fall? Immerse yourself on this hike that traverses the Continental Divide. That being said you will be in the alpine wilderness where you are sure to see plenty of wildlife and large healthy pines. Beautiful Lakes are along trail routes and views are not to be missed. The best part is the view will include a plethora of bright yellow, orange, and red burst from the valley below creating contour and depth to the beautiful scenery.
Jones Pass: Your typical day hike with tons of bonuses!! 6.5 miles of consistent climbing you won't want to miss out on to strengthen those Quads to help build endurance muscles for this winter back country. Route goes above tree line and is absolutely stunning as you ascend up. Plenty of Aspen along the way for fabulous color and scent while you enjoy the company of a loved one, friend, or just nature itself!
These are meant to get you out and enjoying the shortest season of the year! Explore more by visiting: The Chamber of Commerce web site for additional trail

"Can’t say enough good things about this company. Especially Shanna Lalley and Skylar Marshall. I have bought and sold two properties with their help and the level of professionalism was beyond my expectations. With each transaction they were there to answer any and all of my questions and concerns, and to make sure the transaction went smoothly. More than anything I have to say it was the continuation of the after sales service that really impressed. As many of us know there can be issues beyond the date of sale and not once was i made to feel like an inconvenience. Always friendly, happy to hear from us and happy to help."
