We all have watched the TV shows that teach us to remove personal photos and repaint but there are some other simple fixes to improve the feel and value of your home.
1. New faucets. These might run a couple hundred dollars throughout the house but updated looking faucets or shiny faucets really can add some appeal to your property.
2. While you are working on the faucets, replace a stained sink. No one likes the permanent stains. Not even you.
3. Change out the water pitted glass shower door with a new one. (wow, I never knew that can make such a difference!)
4. Swap out old lighting. This can really date a home and limit the light in your home. Some of the new styles will spruce up a dated space.
5. Find some space to create an extra sitting area. Many buyers want a second living space. Although we don't have that dedicated area, a larger room with a couple low volume chairs and a table will work to create this feel.
These ideas are simple, relatively inexpensive and worth while even if you don't plan on selling your home. Enjoy!
