It's hard to believe that 2015 is coming to a close. However, when we look at all the available properties for sale in our wonderful Winter Park/Fraser Valley, we realize that it is in fact the end of the year. Typically December and January have the lowest inventory of available homes and condos for sale we see all year. A lot of buyer activity took place in the 4th quarter as people want to have a mountain home in time for ski season and those who may be thinking of selling will wait until the slopes close in April. We saw a lot of snowfall at Winter Park Resort the past two months which has really boosted visitors and residents alike - who would want to sell? If you have been thinking of selling your property here in Grand County, we'd love to help. It could be a great time since inventory is so low this time of year and there are still buyers out there looking for their next investment or mountain getaway. Statistics from our MLS show that the average sold price per square foot for single family homes in Fraser is $240. In Winter Park, the average jumps up to $266/finished square foot for single family homes that have sold. Condominiums in Fraser have sold at an average of $195/finished square foot and condos in Winter Park jump up to $257/finished square foot. Not too shabby if you ask the experts!
