With the early onset of spring and warmer weather the mountain biking season in the Winter Park area has started early. Several of the local favorite trails are surprisingly dry. Chainsaw, Flume, D4, D3 and the trails in Idlewild are all, for the most part, ride-able. In addition, the trail system in the Granby Ranch area is all dry!
A fun early season ride to get the legs working again is the Fraser to Granby Trail. You can pick it up just west of the softball fields in Fraser and ride it all the way to Granby Ranch. The trail is beautiful and very well maintained.
The Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce has a really nice downloadable Mountain Bike Trail map of the Fraser Valley. You will also find a description of several of the trails by ability level. Check it out in the Fun Stuff section under summer activities.
