Living in a ski town, I think the answer is a resounding NO!
I do wonder about getting stuck at the top of the lift when the ski area gets over a foot at a time. It is hard work to push the snow out of the way when there's that much. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. In fact, I love it. I look at my Winter Park Resort App on my iPhone every morning to see what the night's snow totals were. The past two weeks, it's brought a constant smile to my face. It's been anywhere from 2.5 inches to 11.5 inches of fresh powder to go in and play. Winter Park's snow total to date: 228 inches! What's more? There's more predicted on the way according to my second favorite app, Open Snow.
I hope you'll find your way up to our resort town of Winter Park and take advantage of this wonderful place that I feel lucky to call home. The Cirque, one of Winter Park Resort's 7 Territories, just opened for the season. There's sure to be some amazing snow in this 1,332 acres of un-groomed, backcountry area. New this year, the Cirque Sled which will alleviate the need for hiking back in this extreme terrain. But, you don't need to be an expert skier or rider to enjoy the snow. As my friends figured out, there's deep powder just about anywhere you go!
If after your long day on the mountain, you realize you may want to call Winter Park your home, or second home too, feel free to contact me! I can help with all your real estate needs so you can enjoy all this snow whenever you wish!
