Wow! What is happening in the Winter Park/Fraser Valley since the announcement almost a month ago about the sale of Intrawest? As a real estate agent, we get asked by a lot of potential buyers and even sellers what this will mean for the investments in the area. Will property values sky-rocket? Will there be an Aspen/Winter Park season pass? Will the area become the next "Aspen" or "Vail"? All valid questions and a lot of uncertainty, that is for sure.
While I love to think that our little mountain town will remain the same, local, small community we've all grown to love, it's hard to imagine us not rising to the latest trends in development, ski/ride and biking industries that will bring with it more and more tourists. Even our music festivals will have a new look this summer with the completion of the permanent stage located in Hideaway Park. Click here for more information and pictures on this awesome structure. Opening day in Hideaway Park is June 22 from 6-8pm.
I recently read this great article in the Denver Post showcasing how the sale came to be with Aspen Skiing Co and KSL Capital. And then there's the speculation of ticket prices and competition for the 2017/2018 ski season in this article.
One thing for sure is change, and how it will impact us all is yet to be seen, but it's fun to speculate. If property values as of today are any indication of the what's to come, we're in for a wild ride. We're seeing a lack of inventory and higher $ sales for condos and townhomes in the area. Units for sale don't tend to last long. If you're thinking of making an investment, I'd love to talk with you further and really delve into what's happening in our real estate market.

"I know Amanda since her son and my grandson are great friends. I didn't have to look for advertising.
Amanda is so nice and was extremely helpful. She walked and talked me through every step and was always available for all the questions I had. I would definitely recommend her to anybody looking for property in the Grand County area.
I love the fact that Real Estate of Winter Park makes a donation to a charitable organization after each closing. I wish more companies did that."
