Halloween In The Fraser Valley

Halloween In The Fraser Valley

You never know the weather in the mountains this time of year, but there’s one thing that is for certain – Halloween weekend will be COLD!  It’s no reason to forgo your Trick or Treat plans however as there’s plenty to do.  So, bundle those kiddos up and head on out.

Get started on Friday afternoon in Grand Lake.  Begin by joining the town in the Grand Lake Community House from 12 pm- 1 pm for a children's Halloween party, costume contest and then trick or treating along the boardwalk. Costume Contest will begin at 12:30 sharp. Treats and refreshments provided before you travel town!

Trick or Treat Mainstreet Granby on Friday night.  Trick or Treat the businesses along Agate Ave. from 4pm-6pm.  The costume line-up begins at 5pm in the Town Parking Lot (next to Brickhouse 40) and judging begins at 5:15.  Parents can enjoy hot dogs and drinks while watching all the little ghouls and goblins.  Afterwards, visit the spooky tunnel at the Chamber!

For the older kids, 12 and up, head to Granby on Friday night, October 30th for the FREE Live Action Zombie Apocalypse Haunted House Experience.  Older kids can travel at their own risk through the woods at Pioneer Park in Hot Sulphur Springs from 8:00 to 10:00 PM. For the younger kids they will have fun games with prizes from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. You won't want to miss this one!

If you’re in Winter Park this weekend, start the festivities off at Cooper Creek Square from 4-6pm where kids can trick or treat the businesses, the family can take part in the Phantom Photo Booth on the mall.  After that, head on up to Fraser.  On Halloween night, the Fraser/Winter Park Police Department is sponsoring their 5th annual “Trick or Treat with a Cop” on Saturday, October 31st from 5-7pm at the Fraser Community Center.  Stop by for treats and hot chocolate and take a few minutes to warm up by the fireplace.

Get on out there and Play Winter Park!
