I've been amazed at the colors here in Winter Park and Fraser this fall. We've had such an unexpected Indian Summer, then it got cold and we saw snow on Byers Peak and the Divide for about a week. The temperatures dropped each evening, we layered up in the morning and leaves did start to fall. I went away for a long weekend to California, sad to leave because I knew upon my return that the aspen leaves would all be gone, snow might be blanketing the ground and surely it wouldn't get up above 45 degrees during the days. Boy, was I mistaken! Thankfully! Here we are, the first full week of October and yes this morning was chilly, but the sun is out, the sky is blue and on my morning trail run, this is what I saw. Full Aspen trees lined the trails in Granby Ranch and around the Vasquez Wilderness. It's now a balmy 60 degrees out. I can't imagine this will last long. I encourage you on the front range (you know who you are), to take a drive this week. If not this week, head up this weekend. The weather will be amazing - the perfect weather for driving the Winter Park/Fraser valley and scouting for your winter condo, or for your 2nd home on some acreage, or maybe you just want a parcel of land so you can build at your leisure. Either way, come visit us and experience the fall beauty that's all around us. To view a list of properties that are available, click here.
