The tips of the mountain tops are covered in the white fluffy snow, the mornings hover around a brisk 30 degrees and the days are gorgeous and warm into the 50s. Welcome to fall in the Northern Rockies. To us who live here, we’re dusting off our boots and skis, taking inventory on our snow clothes, maybe heading to the Winter Park Competition Center’s annual Ski Swap for some new gear and praying to the snow gods for a great winter. To us who also work here in the Real Estate business, we know it means that condo sales will skyrocket in the next few months as those eager for a place to warm up after a day on the slopes instead of battling traffic back to the front range want an investment to call their own. I compiled a list of my most current condo listings on the market that are priced below $300K. A rough estimate shows that at a $300K purchase price with 25% down (most lenders on a condo like to see this) and today’s current interest rate for a 30 year loan, your mortgage payment is approximately $1420/month.
