Winter Park is getting all sorts of face lifts and improvements in the upcoming years! Some notable changes include but not limited to… Burying lines between Miller Road and Rendezvous to increase internet speeds that will get started Summer 2018. Hideaway Park will now be called the Rendezvous Event Center while securing $3.5M to fund future stage costs, as well as remodel the Winter Park Visitor Center/Chamber of Commerce building. The new logo change will take place throughout the town to bring a more fun and playful nature to Winter Park, because it is one big playground here with all the different activities year round! Lots of infrastructure projects, for both this year and next, to improve streets, upgrade cross walks, bring new holiday decorations, and a “must see” light show that will take place at Copper Creek Square this holiday season.
Winter Park Resort will see some changes as well. The Zephyr Lift is the first to change for improvements, though we have not received confirmation, but rumor has it might become a gondola! After a great day on the slopes there will be many more options for dinner, drinks or shopping at the resort. For the first time in a long time, all commercial storefronts will be rented out for this upcoming season. Among the new stores and restaurants there will be a new brewery, Crazy Mountain Tap Room, which will be going in near the Vertical. Grand County has so much to offer, besides the obvious gorgeous views, killer slopes, and a welcoming sense of community, we are just a short drive from Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park why wouldn’t you want to be part of something so great?! Not too keen on I70 traffic or driving over Berthoud pass? That’s okay, the Ski train might be a perfect for you, come up in the morning and leave that afternoon, or stay for a while! With the new purchase from KSL properties, Winter Park Resort and word of the ski train reached up to 6 billion people globally! You will not want to miss the changes coming to Winter Park and Grand County as a whole.
