It’s the holiday of all holidays – or not. It’s also President’s Weekend, and in the mountains of Winter Park that means it’ll be a crowded and busy few days.
Visitors and locals alike will be in luck as the snow will continue to fall and we love snow up here this time of year! Head to the slopes for sure, but when you need to get off the beaten run, here are a few ideas to keep you busy with or without your Valentine:
Thursday evening offers happy hour at the newest wine/cocktail bar in Winter Park. Located in Cooper Creek is Grapes and Grains. Cute. Even cuter is to explore Pilates with your Valentine at Elevate Pilates. Deep breathing, partner stretching and core challenges await you. Join them from 5:30-7pm for $40/couple complete with a cocktail.
Friday & Saturday nights in Hecks Restaurant at Devils Thumb Ranch offers live music from 8-11pm. Always a great time and usually not as busy as the hot spots in the town of Winter Park.
How about a horse drawn carriage ride on Saturday? You can find the free ride at Cooper Creek and snuggle in close to rest up for Sunday morning’s Snowshoe Race at Hideaway Park. 4 mile loop will take you into the old ski Idelwild trails and back to Hideaway Park – fun for the whole family.
If all this isn’t enough, be sure to stop by Real Estate of Winter Park and say hello! I have plenty more ideas to keep you busy – or not. I’ll also be here and available to answer all your real estate questions on the area.
