Whether you’re traveling to Winter Park, CO or you call it home, the town is filled with activities and events. There’s always something to enjoy outdoors in the state of Colorado, and specifically, Winter Park.
Winter Park is home to a variety of musical events. One of the most impressive is the Winter Park Jazz Festival, which is held every summer. This festival features live music from all types of entertainers—some are well-known and others are rising stars.
This two-day festival will celebrate its 36thannual running in 2018. This year, it begins on July 21, 2018 and runs through July 22, 2018. You can spend the whole weekend listening to music and enjoying the beauty that Winter Park has to offer.
The Jazz and Blues Festival is held outdoors at Hideaway Park. You get to experience the world-class jazz and blues music while enjoying the fresh air. Hideaway Park has an outdoor amphitheater surrounded by a grassy area. This gives guests plenty of space to spread out and socialize while basking in the smooth, live music.
Each year, Winter Park has the privilege of hosting a new lineup of musicians. You will recognize some of them, but others are just starting out. The talent is exceptional, regardless of the performers’ backgrounds.

In addition to the musical talents who will be making an appearance, another skilled group will be at this festival! Arts and crafts vendors set up booths in the park. You can take a look at their handmade goods and meet the makers behind the work. This is a great opportunity to support small businesses and get to know the people who call Winter Park home.
Food and drinks are served at the festival, so it’s easy to spend the whole day there. You don’t have to worry about missing a performance to find a place to eat. Some of your own snacks and drinks are permitted as well, but check the festival’s exact guidelines to be safe.
There is plenty of lodging nearby, so you should have a fairly easy time finding a place to stay. Some are even close enough to Hideaway Park that you can walk. Those locations do fill up quickly, so they need to be booked as soon as possible. Winter Park also offers a Free Transit System, which goes to and from the festival each day.
Tickets are on sale online now, so be sure to get them before they sell out. Kids who are 12 and under are free with a ticketed adult in general admission. The gates open at 10:00AM on both July 21stand July 22nd. The first performances begin at 11:00AM.
If being surrounded by mountains and soaking in the jazz tunes sounds like your type of event, be sure to get a ticket to the Winter Park Jazz Festival. No matter what style of music you love, this festival will blow you away with the sheer talent of its performers. The live music, arts and crafts booths, and the beauty of Winter Park come together to create an entertaining weekend for all!
