The Torchlight Parade at Winter Park Resort is one of my favorite holiday traditions and is something that you can only experience in a mountain town. Growing up in Florida, it is like nothing I had ever experienced before moving to Grand County. I’ve seen Santa Clause fly in on a helicopter or arrive via water skis, but there is something magical about watching the skiers and snowboarders float down the dark mountain in a Christmas tree formation with their lighted torches, which is then followed by a decorated snowcat and firework show.
If you are in or near Winter Park on Christmas Eve, you won’t want to miss this annual event that starts at 5:30. Be sure to get there early if you want to get a spot to watch it from the warmth of the Balcony House or Doc’s Roadhouse. Or if you’re like my family and get there at the last minute, make sure you dress warmly with lots of layers.

"I would highly recommend Real Estate of Winter Park and in particular Sue Seemann! She is a superior real estate agent, incredibly knowledgeable, personable and a true problem solver. Sue was my realtor for 10 different transactions over the last 15 years in Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash and Granby. With Sue, I always had peace of mind that everything would go smoothly! I know I am in good hands and I am a very satisfied customer."
