If you are the more adventurous type, there are miles of trails, (mountain bike trails in the summer), within minutes from Winter Park and Fraser. Stop by the Winter Park Visitor Center in downtown Winter Park for trail suggestions and access. Or, located in downtown Fraser, Ice Box Mountain Sports, rents cross country ski gear. The friendly shop owner and employees are always happy to provide information about trail access and routes.
If you just want to get out for a quick loop, cross country skiing is accessible right in town! Grand Park, located west of Hwy 40 between Winter Park and Fraser grooms about 5 miles of trails in the meadow both for classic or skate skiing. There is parking located conveniently adjacent to the trail. Or park on the north side of the Safeway Center in downtown Fraser and hop on the Fraser River Trail. You’ll be skiing along the Fraser River while enjoying spectacular views of and the Continental Divide and Byers Peak.

"To anyone looking for a professional, caring one who listens to what you want in a property, Margaret is the person to see. She sold our condo in record time when the market was kind of soft and we had to move from our beloved mountains and come down to lower grounds. Buying property in Winter Park or surrounding areas is the best thing you could do and let Margaret become your agent. The mountains are a wonderful place to be and you will have a friend in Margaret. "
